What Is a Fit Refund?
A fit refund is a refund issued when a rented item does not fit, even if it arrived exactly as described. Fit refunds are always issued as Pickle Credits — not back to your original payment method.
Pickle Credits are visible in green above the My Closet tab at the bottom of the app and can be used toward any future rental, purchase, or delivery fee on Pickle. Credits are valid for 2–4 weeks depending on the type — you will receive a notification one week before they expire.
First-Time Renters
If this is your very first rental on Pickle and the item does not fit, Pickle will cover a fit refund even if the Owner does not normally offer them. You still need to follow the standard rules — return the item the same day and contact Support within 12 hours of delivery.
How do I know if an Owner offers fit refunds?
The Owner's fit refund policy is displayed on every listing under the item description. There are four options:
100% fit refund — full Pickle Credits refunded if the item does not fit
50% fit refund — half the rental price refunded as Pickle Credits
No fit refunds — fit refunds are not available for this item
Fit refund upon request — message the Owner before renting to ask if they would approve one
We recommend checking the fit refund policy and messaging the Owner about measurements before submitting your offer — especially for items where fit is important to you.
How to request a fit refund
Go to the Overview page of your rental in the app
Scroll down and tap Request Refund if the Owner allows fit refunds
The item must be returned the same day for the refund to be processed
If the refund is case-by-case: The Owner will approve or deny your request and confirm a return date. Once approved, return the item by the agreed date

If the Owner approves but is not available to receive the return the same day: Contact Pickle Support and we will manually process the refund for you.
When will my credits appear?
Your Pickle Credits will appear in your account as soon as the item has been returned. They are visible in green above the My Closet tab at the bottom of the app. If credits do not appear after return, make sure your app is fully updated and refreshed.
Tips for finding the right fit before you rent
Message the Owner before submitting your offer — most Owners are happy to share measurements or fit notes
Check the brand's website for sizing guides and reviews on how items run
Read the listing description carefully — Owners are encouraged to note if an item runs large, small, or has been altered
Use size filters in the Shop tab — Pickle uses your saved sizing to help curate options for you. You can update your size preferences in the filters at any time.
I see an item I love but not in my size
Let us know! Our Pickle Stylists love to track down pieces our Renters are looking for. Keep an eye on Pickle's Instagram for polls and style requests — we regularly look for input from the community. It is also worth checking the recommended items below the listing!
The tag size is different from the listed size
Owners are encouraged to list the actual tag size and note any fit differences in the description. If this was not disclosed and the item does not match the listed size, this is considered not as described and you may be eligible for a full refund — not just a fit refund.
