Trying Pickle for the first time? We want your first experience to be completely stress-free. If your very first rental does not fit, Pickle has you covered — regardless of the Owner's normal fit refund settings.

What is the First-Time Risk-Free Rental?

On your first-ever rental on Pickle, if the item does not fit, Pickle will issue you a full refund in Pickle Credits — even if the Owner does not normally offer fit refunds. This is Pickle's way of making sure your first experience is a good one.

The Owner does not lose their earnings on your first rental — Pickle covers the cost of the refund directly.

How to Qualify

To be eligible for the first-time fit refund you must:

  1. Report the fit issue within 12 hours of receiving the item

  2. Schedule a same-day return through the Pickle app

Both steps are required. If the item is not returned the same day or the issue is not reported within 12 hours, the standard fit refund policy applies and the Owner's settings will determine eligibility.

How the Refund Is Issued

Once your item is returned, Pickle will issue a full refund in Pickle Credits directly to your account. Credits are visible in green above the My Closet tab at the bottom of the app and can be used toward any future rental, purchase, or delivery fee on Pickle.

Important Notes

  • This policy applies to your first rental only — all future fit refunds follow the Owner's chosen fit refund settings

  • This covers fit issues only — if the item arrives not as described, damaged, or unusable, the standard refund process applies regardless of whether it is your first rental

  • You still need to follow the 12-hour reporting window and same-day return requirement to qualify
