Where to Find Your Messages

You can access all of your conversations by tapping the Messaging icon in the top left corner of the home screen.

From here, you can:

  • View current and past conversations

  • Search for older messages

  • Start a new message with any user

This inbox keeps all communication organized in one place.

How to Message Another User

You can start a conversation from several places in the app:

1. From a Product Page

If you’re browsing an item and have a question:

  • Tap the owner’s profile on the product page

  • Select Message to start a conversation directly about that item

This is a great way to ask about fit, measurements, availability, or delivery options.

2. From the Offers Page

When you have an active or past offer:

  • Open the Offer

  • Scroll down to find the Message button

  • Send updates or ask questions about the rental

This is especially helpful for coordinating delivery or return details.

3. From Your Inbox

  • Tap the Messaging icon

  • Hit New Message

  • Search for the user you want to contact

Perfect for ongoing conversations or reaching out proactively before renting or lending.

Using the Bump Feature

If you’re waiting on a response and the other user hasn’t replied, you can use the Bump button in the chat.

This sends them an additional notification and helps bring attention back to the conversation.

Please use bump politely and sparingly — it’s meant to help, not to pressure.

Community Conduct & Expectations

Pickle is a community built on trust, respect, and good communication.

When messaging another user, always:

  • Be polite and clear

  • Communicate promptly, especially when coordinating a pickup or return

  • Avoid sending repeated or aggressive messages

  • Keep discussions within the app for safety
